Ingredients
  

  • 150 g unsalted butter softened
  • 75 g icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 g plain flour
  • 50 g cornflour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chocolate melted (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions
 

Preheat and Prepare :

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugar :

  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and icing sugar until light and creamy.

Add Flavor :

  • Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry Ingredients :

  • Sift in the plain flour, cornflour, and pinch of salt. Fold gently into the butter mixture until a soft dough forms. Avoid overmixing.

Pipe Shapes :

  • Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle. Pipe swirled shapes or lines onto the prepared tray, leaving space between each biscuit.

Bake :

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.

Cool :

  • Allow the biscuits to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Optional Decoration :

  • Drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled biscuits for an elegant finish.
